Teacher Administrator

Christina Perdue (Cris) received her B. S. in Mathematics with an education option from Virginia Tech. After a short time as a teacher, she worked at Norfolk Southern as a tax agent where she helped with property tax, budget, accounting and audit, and training new employees. While at Norfolk Southern, Cris earned her Master’s in Business Administration also from Virginia Tech. Cris left Norfolk Southern to start her own business, Business Service Solutions, until she realized she missed teaching. She has been working at Franklin County Public Schools as a math teacher. She is Virginia State Certified in Secondary Mathematics as well as ACSI certified.

Cris has been a part of SMLCA even before it opened its doors. She served as part of the original curriculum team, has volunteered her time, and has a true passion for the school.

“I feel that God has blessed Smith Mountain Lake with a great school, and I am grateful to be a part of it,” said Perdue.

Currently, Cris is a candidate for her Doctorate of Education from Liberty University with plans to complete her degree in 2013. Cris will be teaching mathematics for the school as well as serving as its principal.

Perdue stated, “It has been a privilege to watch SMLCA grow, and it will be my honor to help it continue to grow. SMLCA has a lot to offer this community, and I feel that God has slated this school to be my mission field.”
