Financial Aid
Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy desires to see every student who wants a Christ-Centered College Preparatory Education be able to attend SMLCA regardless of financial limitations.
SMLCA uses a 3rd party to determine each families need for financial aid. Based on the recommendations, the board reviews and awards financial aide for each individual case.
Pastors, full time ministers and teachers are also offered financial aid based on each family’s need.
Financial Assistance
SMLCA is dedicated to allocating a significant portion of its operating budget towards financial assistance. Consequently, SMLCA is partnering with Independent School Management to facilitate all requests for financial assistance. The assessment is based on need, relative to household income and circumstances.
Steps to apply for Financial Assistance:
1) Go through the Admissions Process first, as acceptance is not contingent on financial needs.
2) Click on the following link to the FAST system and complete the application. There is a $36 processing fee.
3) Send the ncessary forms to ISM in their provided envelope.
Recommendations will be returned to the school within two to four weeks.
Applications for financial assistance should be submitted no later than May 1 for returning students.
