Greetings from SMLCA!

We thought it appropriate on this Super Tuesday following the Super
Bowl to make a Super Announcement:

After much prayer and careful consideration of community feedback, the
Board of Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, has decided to launch
this fall as a K-6th grade school with plans to add a grade level in each
subsequent year. Although the original vision of a middle school had
its merits several years ago, it is now clear that families desire to
start their children in private, Christian education as soon as possible.

We continue to work feverishly to meet our self-imposed deadline of
accepting applications by the first part of March. Please be prayerful
as we finalize details toward that end.

We would also ask that you pray for God's providence in procuring our
temporary location, of which several excellent possibilities are now
being considered.

May God bless you, our community, SMLCA and our nation on this important
day.
