Bible

We are reading “Noah’s Ark” this week in Bible.  Our memory verse is Genesis 9:15 “Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.”

Circle Time

We are continuing to work on our calendar & weather skills, “100 Day” chart, and reviewing our colors & shapes.  We will be testing on colors and shapes next week.

Phonics

We are singing our Phonics song(s) each day and reviewing letter “Aa”.  We began letter “Bb” today.  We are working on the letter sound, letter recognition, & writing the letters.

Math

We began with number 5 today.  We are working on number recognition, number writing, & counting (one to one correspondence).  We will introduce numbers 6-9 this week, as well.

Extra

If you haven’t already done so, please send in your child’s form about Veggie Tales by Sept. 10th.  Also, we sent a fieldtrip form in your child’s folder today about Runk & Pratt and Booker T. Washington being on Sept. 24th.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

We are off to a great year!  The children are working hard & we are having a lot of fun while we are learning new things!
